The “English Radical” ran a piece last year when the empty suit that is David Cameron was talking tough on immigration, in which we pointed out that England’s back door was already off it’s hinges, so many were barging through it from the EU. And with the near-certain collapse of the Eurozone looming ever nearer, it is highly likely that even more citizens from the more vulnerable EU countries may seek refuge in these islands, away from the train wreck of a Europe lying in economic ruins. To be fair, these people may have good reason for wanting to leave their homelands – Eastern Europeans are constantly looking over their shoulder at Russia: a financially and politically paralysed EU presents all kinds of opportunities for a hungry Bear. Also, when the “Club Med” nations default and the ECB bailouts stop, civilian governments in those countries will struggle to keep order, and may be powerless to stop the army taking control – who would want to stay in a ruined country under a military junta? People in Spain, Greece, Italy and Portugal have tasted that medicine in living memory once already, and may prefer to leave rather than take it again. In our view, Germany will at some point almost certainly re-introduce the Deutschmark and cut the rest of the Eurozone loose, and those masters of self-interest the French probably have similar plans – there's no way they will go down with a doomed currency, even though they have grown fat suckling at the EU's teat since its creation! The collapse of the Euro would have broader implications for the world economy - the world of international finance is so interconnected, that once this can of worms has been opened, other fraudulent institutions and governments will have their cans kicked over also, and their corruption will finally be laid bare for all to see. The English Radicals have always wanted Britain (but especially England) out of the unaccountable, over-centralised EU, and the demise of the Euro will probably be the catalyst that destroys it – if nations go back to their own currencies, the grand project of EU unification is effectively finished, and who could imagine any European nation ever wanting to be so closely shackled to their neighbours again? But we can only guess at the horrific effects on the people of continental Europe when their financial world collapses around their ears. Here in England, we may escape the worst of the coming storm, but its effects will be felt all over the world. We will not emerge unscathed – but hopefully, good will come of it. With the passing of the EU, the people of England may finally realise that life under the British Union is no better than life under the European Union, and demand release from that also: the nations of Europe will finally awake from their long nightmare and re-assert their sovereignty once more: and the guilty men and women who perpetrated this criminal enterprise for so long, can finally be brought to justice. In our lifetime, we have seen the fall of the USSR, and the end of Apartheid in South Africa. Like the EU, both these regimes were corrupt, ruthless and run by wealthy unaccountable elites, who finally lost their grip on power once their downtrodden people found the courage to reject them “en masse”. It doesn't get any more “en masse” than a continent full of impoverished people with hungry children. Unfortunately, these are the same ingredients that can allow a Hitler or a Mao to rise to prominence. Let us pray that the ordinary people of Europe remember their history and have more sense than their useless politicians have so far shown, and navigate into calmer waters without a dictator's hand on the tiller. 2 Comments | ArchivesApril 2012 CategoriesAll |
