1: INDEPENDENCE & FREEDOM FOR THE PEOPLE OF ENGLAND:
An independent England, free from any alliances that have been imposed upon us by British governments' without the consent of the people of England. Independence from the anti-English British state and the anti-English, fraudulent and undemocratic EU.
When we pay money to the EU, we get so little in return. It’s a bit like going being mugged only for the mugger to hand you back enough money for your bus fare home. We do not need membership of an organisation like that. We can still trade with Europe, we can still travel within Europe, we can still communicate and work together on various projects with countries within Europe, but we cannot afford to be part of what is becoming a European superstate.
Likewise the present U.K sees England as the ‘poor relation’. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have received devolution, yet England has largely received the bill. Our Celtic neighbours are proud people and they voted democratically for devolution. Yet thanks to this ‘fudged settlement’ it’s unfair to the people of England, and that includes the many Scots, Welsh and Irish people that live and pay taxes in England. We need a debate and referendum on the future of the United Kingdom. We in the English Radical Alliance believe in the creation of independent nations, working together in a ‘Council of the Isles’. This would relieve the financial burden from the taxpayers of England who currently prop up the Government of Scotland and Assemblies of Northern Ireland and Wales, and it would allow our Celtic neighbours to truly pursue their own destiny.
Independence from NATO, an organisation that has and will continue to deploy English troops in conflicts that are of no concern to the people of England.
We do not think it is right for our armed forces to fight in conflicts that do not concern the people of England. Why should our brave forces be used as mercenaries to assist foreign government’s, some of whom have empire building ambitions or whom go to war for economic reasons. We need to end alliances that use our forces as mercenaries.
The freedom to celebrate English heritage, culture and identity in all areas of life. The establishment of a written English constitution.
Laws have been introduced which discriminate against the ordinary people of England. Political correctness has gone mad, and although intended to create a truly fair society, what has really happened is the exact opposite. Christmas and St.George’s Day are traditional activities celebrated for centuries and they should never be regarded as offensive. We need a written English constitution which is fair for all the people of England, rather than a mass of laws which benefit rich lawyers and the few.
