FAQ's & WHY JOIN ERA

WHY DO WE NEED ANOTHER ENGLISH PARTY?

The reason we need another English party is because none of the present crop of allegedly pro-English parties would change anything. The English Democrats, English Independence Party, One England and the English Peoples Party are ALL parties heavily influenced by capitalism - a system that has put millions of people out of work and pits people and businesses against each other in a battle for survival.
Capitalism puts profits before people and ensures that workers in England have to compete with the wages of Bangladesh, North Korea and India. When we can't compete against such low wages capitalism throws English workers out of a job and on to the benefits system. These are the rules of capitalism, and if the other English political parties (the English Democrats, English Peoples party and One England) wish to be capitalists, unfortunately despite words to the contrary, these are the rules they will have to abide by.

ERA does not believe in the 'survival of the fittest' rules of capitalism, which makes us completely different from the parties listed. The other English party, the England First Party is a very extreme right wing party with unworkable policies far to the right of the BNP. Faced with capitalism or far right extremism, there was no alternative but to form another party to represent all the people of England.

IF YOU ARE ANTI CAPITALIST DOES THAT MEAN YOU ARE ARE SOCIALISTS AND LEFT WING?
Absolutely not. You will find some of our policies are left wing, some are right wing and some are quite central. We dislike socialism as much as we do capitalism, as both systems have failed the English people and others the world over.

Socialism is merely State-run capitalism and encourages mass bureaucracy and inefficiency. Neither capitalism or socialism offer ordinary people much say in the running of their businesses and leave them at the mercy of centrally, often foreign, management.ERA favours neither capitalism or socialism but supports distributism, a third alternative that will deliver real power to the people and provide opportunity.
Distributism offers the people of England the power and control over their own financial and economic destiny, and by spreading the ethos of self employment, stakeholder businesses and co-operatives we will reduce the power of the multi-nationals to hire and fire at will. We wish to see a more localised business and financial sector with an emphasis on locally-owned businesses, locally-owned shops and locally-owned banks.
This would place control in the hands of local people rather than big business. With what has happened with boom and bust economics, recessions, companies being sold abroad, mass redundancies and bankruptcies, we desperately need a third economic system, and Distributism is just that.

THE NATIONAL FRONT HAVE DISTRIBUTIST ECONOMIC POLICIES. DOES THAT MEAN YOU ARE THE SAME AS THEM OR ALIGNED TO FASCISM?
Nothing could be further from the truth.  'Distributism' is an ideology of de-centralisation and fascism is an ideology of centralisation. They are poles apart. The National Front's vision of Distributism would offer restricted opportunities guided by 'race'. Our vision of Distributism is the true vision  and would offer opportunities to ALL the law abiding people of England, irrespecative of race, colour, religion etc. This is vastly different from line of the National Front and the far right.

ERA BELIEVES IN AN INDEPENDENT ENGLAND. DOES THAT MEAN YOU ARE ANTI-BRITISH OR AGAINST THE SCOTS, WELSH OR IRISH?
No ERA is not anti-British and we expect our policies to find sympathy with Scots, Welsh and Irish people both here in England and elsewhere. Following  independence ERA would promote good relations with Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Irish Republic and Wales, and help create a 'Council of the Isles' to help maintain close ties and co-operataion. What we are is anti-British state, as it is the British state that has implemented anti-English laws and treats the people of England as third class citizens in what is still supposed to be a United Kingdom.

COULD ENGLAND PROSPER AS AN INDEPENDENT NATION?
England could easily prosper as an independent nation, but we would have to shun the restraints of capitalism to achieve our full potential. By investing in our nation, our industries, our schools and our training colleges we can revive England's fortunes and it will more than prosper. Currently we import goods, technology and labour at an alarming rate. It is almost as if successive Labour and Tory governments have lost faith in our people. ERA would restore faith in the people of England, and with taxpayers money saved from propping up the government of Scotland and Assemblies of Wales and Northern Ireland we will be able to invest in our own people and our own economy.

SO IF ENGLAND DID NOT VOTE FOR INDEPENDENCE IN A REFERENDUM WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
We would have to honour the result and the decision of the people. If you look at our policies you will notice that ERA is in favour of decentralisation, distributism and localism. There would be more decision making at a local level and therefore Scots, Northern Irish and Welsh M.P's would not vote on matters that just concern England and vice-versa. Fiscal arrangements would be implemented so taxpayers in one home nation do not have to subsidise others, as is the present situation, with the bill for propping up all the U.K  largely being paid by the taxpayers of England.

WHAT IS YOUR VIEW ON THE ETHNIC ENGLISH QUESTION?
ERA recognises the existence of the ethnic English and would support the rights of the ethnic English. We support preserving England's culture and heritage, and that includes ethnic English or Anglo-Saxon culture. This culture has been eroded through political correctness and almost eradicated from history books. ERA believes that those who celebrate our Anglo-Saxon culture should be able to do so, in the same way as people from other parts of the world celebrate their culture here in England What we would create by allowing this is a level playing field and bring to an end this form of anti-English discrimination.
. It is wrong that almost every culture from around the world has festivals that take place in England, yet there is nothing available for those that wish to participate in something relating to their Anglo-Saxon heritage. ERA wishes to bring fairness and equality and the right to celebrate being ethnic English.

IF YOU SUPPORT ETHNIC ENGLISH CULTURE YOU MUST BE RACIST?
Wrong! ERA opposes racism, just as it opposes those that wish to bring about the Islamification of England. We welcome anyone of Afro-Caribbean, Asian or any other background that accepts English culture and the English way of life as part of living in this country. This is something we want to encourage. As you will notice frrom our policies, we are not against people from other ethnic backgrounds celebrating their own unique culture, providing it does not break any laws, but as part of living in England they need to accept English culture. This is not discrimination or racism, far from it, this is fairness and equality.
ARE YOU CONNECTED WITH THE ENGLISH DEFENCE LEAGUE OR ENGLISH NATIONALIST ALLIANCE?
No we have no ties to these or any other organisation. We recognise the concerns a great many people have who join groups like the EDL, but we seek changes which will deal with these concerns via the ballot box. These changes will bring about a fair society for all the law abiding people of England.

YOU ARE A SMALL PARTY. IS THERE ANY POINT IN JOINING OR VOTING FOR YOU?
At present we are what political pundits would call 'a minor party'. Basically if people agree with our aims and are passionate about delivering a new radical England, then they should join us and help build ERA across England. There are no imitations, only ERA stands for delivering a new, radical England.  Our membership fee is reasonable, at just £12 per annum, or £1 per month by direct debit, we have training and education available should new members wish to progress in the party  so our message is simple - 'If you agree with us, join us and help us build the party'.

O.K SO WHY SHOULD I JOIN ERA?
The English Radical Alliance emphasises the traditions of rebellion and radicalism in English history because we want our people to realise; 1) What their ancestors have achieved by resisting tyranny and why we should not let this be thrown away: 2) That they do not have to accept what is offered to them today when it is clearly not in their interests.

Today, probably more than any other time since 1939, England needs people to make a stand and be counted. England needs radical change, and as we have demonstrated the other English parties, just like the main parties, and others such as UKIP, the Greens and even the BNP all support various degrees of capitalism. This is why our country has never really fulfilled its potential and why our people are constantly at the mercy of an anti-English British state.

Imagine a wall in your house with a large crack running from top to bottom. Joining or voting for one of the other parties is simply like getting a piece of wallpaper and papering over the crack. However much you cover it and no matter what shade of paper you place over it, the fact remains the crack is still there. England is a bit like that wall, and every time we elect a capitalist or socialist party we are papering over that crack. The English Radicals are not just a piece of wallpaper, we are the party that will fill the crack and properly repair the damage other parties have inflicted upon England and the people of England.

ERA draws its inspiration from those English men and women that have rebelled and fought against tyranny in the past. We are the only ones politically fighting a form of  tyranny today, which is an anti-English state and global capitalism .

If you agree with our policies and are prepared to stand up and be counted, then join us and the struggle for a new, radical and better England.
